Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have no horse experience?

Not a problem! You do not need any horse experience at all to participate. This experience is solely about you, and your personal growth. The facilitator will give you all you need to know to keep you safe throughout the experience.

Do we get to ride the horse?

To properly do their job as the teacher, riding the horses is not involved. When riding a horse we are in control and are telling the horse what to do. For Equine Assisted Learning to work, we need to allow the horse to work as our teammate, partner, and teacher. However, if you are interested in riding lessons we can also make that happen!

Who can participate?

For the safety of our customers and horses we have a set age standard, but check out our packages and pricing to see if there is an option for you. If you do not feel like you fit a category, still reach out, because I would never turn someone away if they would benefit greatly from participating.

What if I'm scared or don't like horses?

Do you learn when you're in your comfort zone? Not likely. This is an opportunity to overcome your fears or preconceived notions about horses. Some people who have participated started out petrified, but by the end they have learned more about themselves and overcame their fears.

What do I wear?

Although chaps and a pair of cowboy boots are not required, we do have certain safety requirements when it comes to your clothing. These would include simple things like closed toe shoes and dressing in clothes that you are ok with getting a little dusty. Additionally, we cover all safety measures upon first arrival.

Are you insured?

Absolutely! We carry extensive insurance for ourselves and those who attend our programs.
